CLINTON — William Ray Wilson, 82, of Clinton, passed away 3:25 a.m. Sunday (April 23, 2017) at his home.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Texas Township Cemetery, Clinton, with military honors. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the William Ray Wilson Memorial Fund.
Bill was born May 18, 1934, in Attica, Ind., the son of Jesse Francis and Ruby Mae Lee Wilson. He married Ruth Ann Bowman on Jan. 27, 1980.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Wilson, Clinton; children, Devin Jerrold Wilson, Clinton; Romona Doreen (Tim) Parker, Indianapolis, Ind.; Corine (Sherman) Taulbee, Kenney; Joe (Pam) Thompson, Bloomington; and Roger (Caroline) Thompson, Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Annie (David) Morgan, Williamsport, Ind., and Kay Whistler, Attica, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rena Bowling; two grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a mechanic and enjoyed collecting and working on cars.
