CARLOCK — At least one person has died Wednesday after two semi trucks collided on Interstate 74, state police said Wednesday.

About 2:25 p.m., a semi broke down on eastbound I-74 at milepost 117. A second semi tried to pass but it struck the first and caught fire.

The impact of the crash and fire resulted in a death, state police said in a news release.

All lanes of traffic are expected to remain closed between milepost 112 near the Goodfield exit and milepost 125 at the Mitsubishi Motorway exit until late Wednesday night.

Traffic is being diverted to Route 150. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

No further details regarding the crash were available Wednesday night.
