BLOOMINGTON — OSHA is investigating the death of a  60-year-old Bloomington man who was injured while working on a vehicle at a west-side truck stop.

Vernon Casali was pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder said Wednesday.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration office in Peoria confirmed an active investigation began Wednesday. Yoder's office had no new information on Thursday.

Casali was working on a vehicle at TA Truck Stop, 505 Truckers Lane, Bloomington, when the incident happened, Yoder said previously.

The coroner's office and Bloomington Police Department also are investigating the incident.
