BLOOMINGTON - A Bloomington man injured in a car-motorcycle crash Tuesday evening in Bloomington remained in critical condition at a Peoria hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Steven Legner, 56, of Crosswinds Court, was airlifted to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center after the crash about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Empire Street and Eastport Drive, police and a hospital official said.

His passenger, Linda Legner, also 56, was taken to BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, where she was treated and released, a hospital official said.

Steven Legner was driving west on Empire street when a car ahead of him stopped for a red light at Eastport Drive, police said. The motorcycle hit the back of the car, and he and his passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.
