Christians just trying to restore freedoms

As sure as the sun comes up every morning, there is only one true and living God, the creator of the universe.

Looking back through the pages of history to the creation of man about 6,000 years ago, how naïve can anyone be to believe that we can disregard the precepts of Almighty God?

The only book valid and available that gives the history of mankind — the questions of people from Adam to Jesus Christ of about 4,000 years — is the Holy Bible. Men of God wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is composed of 66 books written by about 36 authors in a period of time covering about 1,600 years. It’s no accident tha the word of God is such an integral book and Jesus is its grand subject.

Our nation was founded upon the principles of this holy book.

How can anyone say that Christians are trying to force the Ten Commandments to be posed in every courthouse? (“One religion’s belief shouldn’t be law for all,” YourViews, March 5)

The last I knew, we are still a free country and there are Christians who are only trying to restore the freedoms that have already been taken away by a small minority group with the help of leftist courts.

God’s commandments will stand through this time and through all eternity. Believe it.

John Gramm, Gridley
