Bloomington-Normal seems to be very concerned about how the two towns look when people drive in from the north. Much talk has gone on about how nice the two towns should look to drivers entering town from the north. But has anyone on the City Council taken a good look at conditions when you enter Bloomington from the south using U.S. Business 51?
We have a major interstate highway around the south side of Bloomington. When you enter town using Route 51 you see tree limbs along the road, road signs knocked down, weeds growing in the center of the road, old buildings boarded up and usually trash along the curbs.
Why don't we clean up the south side of town like we have the north side of town?
