Very well, I feel I have given your new "Talk Back" feature a fair trial. I thought at first that the concept was rather intriguing, but I have found the results, for the most part, to be offensive, if not downright disgusting. It is somewhat frightening what people will say when guaranteed anonymity.
I believe the long-standing policy of The Pantagraph has been not to publish any anonymous letters, which I believe is a very good policy. If you do not have the courage to sign your name to your opinions, then they cannot be worth much.
Apparently the majority of contributors to "Talk Back" choose to hide behind the safety of their computer screen and spew venom without fear of identification, leaving only some cute code name. Please, if you really believe what you are saying, have the nerve and the decency to sign your own name! If not, crawl back under your own cyber rock.
As this feature currently exists, I feel The Pantagraph is lowering itself to the level of grocery store penny-dreadful tabloids. We long-time subscribers have come to expect more.
