In a few days, all over America, our fellow citizens will have the great opportunity to express their thanks to the families of our wonderful military heroes who went forward to serve and protect their country, but never returned.
I sincerely hope that thousands and thousands of residents of this area will attend our wonderful Memorial Day parade in Bloomington or the many, many other observances that will be held throughout the area, and in many churches. I especially hope they pick up the telephone to personally thank the families for the great sacrifice their loved ones' gave for their fellow Americans.
We can also lift up a heartfelt prayer to the God we individually worship that these terrible wars raging right now in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world will end soon and every single one of our military servicemen and women will be home safely with those who love them.
