Fieldcrest School District voters have an important decision to make.
Sociologists would tell you that solid communities draw strength and energies from a healthy educational system.
I have listened to dissatisfaction harbored by some over past board actions, and understand and respect those sentiments. However, I ask them to focus on the future and allow administrators to move us toward a physically sound and progressive educational institution.
Teachers are an important part of that successful equation, and are committed to the safety and character formation of students. They are our friends and play active roles in our community, on and off the job, and deserve a "yes" vote.
Reduced participation fees and restored curriculum are important benefits to families, and will be accomplished by a "yes" vote. Stabilization of tax rates, and financial stability for Fieldcrest, is provided by a "yes" vote. Keeping education a number one priority benefits everyone.
