This is in response to the opinion given about Bloomington residents should pay for the Coliseum. I feel as a Bloomington resident who did not vote for the Coliseum to be built, I shouldn't have to pay for it. I also didn't vote for Heartland College to get expanded either, but the bill is on my home taxes.
In my opinion, the Twin Cities should worry more about the streets - such as West Wood Street - than entertainment.
Bloomington has a beautiful city park with horrible streets that get to it. The city should be ashamed and bow its head in shame for this wrongdoing. The streets, however, to the city's white elephant Coliseum are new. I say all the City Council members who voted in favor of the arena should pay for it. Sorry to all the ship jumpers but that includes you, too.
