History does repeat itself and we witnessed it May 9 with the firing of FBI Director James Comey, who is investigating the Trump campaign and Russian collusion, by his boss. On Oct. 20, 1973, Nixon did the same thing to special prosecutor Archibald Cox, who was investigating Nixon and Watergate. We know what eventually happened to Nixon.
Now, however, with one party controlling both houses of Congress and the White House, our republic is like the proverbial hen house, being "guarded" by the foxes.
