On Jan. 31, President Bush stated that the United States is "addicted to oil." I highly resent this statement. The U.S. problem is our imbalance of trade. Our government needs to realize that to eliminate our problem of `addiction to oil,' we need to export more of our products such as tires and automobiles, to name a few.
In automotive circles, the talk of importing new Chinese vehicles is preposterous. What does China allow us to send into that country? The U.S. problem is not "oil addiction," the presidents' men are always spinning and avoiding the problems.
