I have known Mike Emery for about 25 years, and I believe he is the best man for the office of sheriff of McLean County.
His qualifications by themselves make him the best choice and include 24 years of service in the sheriff's office, during which he was steadily promoted to detective, then sergeant, lieutenant and served several years as chief deputy under Sheriff Steve Brienen and the current sheriff.
During his years of service and increasing responsibility in the Sheriff's Department, he has handled his work in an exemplary and conscientious fashion.
While he worked at the department, he went to Illinois State University and graduated with a degree in criminal justice to further his knowledge in his field. Mike Emery is a graduate of the FBI Academy, a select invitation-only course for law enforcement officers from all over the country.
Mike Emery is a second-generation peace officer, having followed in his father's footsteps. Mike is also endorsed by many of the mayors of McLean County towns and by many active and retired policemen and deputies of the city and county police departments.
I strongly support Mike Emery for McLean County sheriff, and I urge everyone to vote for Mike Emery.
