Nobody's 'rushing' skatepark plans

  • 0

As you know that there have been some opinions in the newspaper about rushing or pressuring the city into building a skatepark.

I received an e-mail today from Jeff Knuth about dates and subjects dating back 15{ years in the Pantagraph archives. So where is the rushing?

We need a place now for our kids. With articles dating back 15{ years I would say that the city isn't being rushed or pushed into anything. They've had 15 years to do something about a skatepark.

We do have a very nice big-expense park that's not quite finished yet and will cost quite a bit to maintain yearly. I bet it didn't take 15 years in the planning to get that one built.

I know that the Coachman Motel is off the table for the city to purchase, thank goodness, but that was just in the planning of five months for Todd Greenburg and Tom Hamilton to bring to the city council at the cost of $800,000 at whose expense - ours. As I said thank goodness it was removed.

Thank you for your time reading this.
