Since Peggy Ann Milton has been charged for allegedly giving a few dollars' worth of stamps to a charity, what is going to happen to the Normal City Council for giving the private sector millions of dollars?
They gave millions of taxpayer's dollars to the Bank of Illinois and to the builders of a hotel. Neither of these projects are of any benefit to taxpayers. The projects will only make money for these private owners at taxpayers' expense. All Normal City Council did was eliminate reasonable parking for taxpayers at the Normal Public Library.
Are the other banks and motels in Normal going to be given money and how much? Everyone should be treated equally. Is this socialism?
Now the Normal City Council wants to build a system to access the Internet. Private enterprise is all ready doing this. Is this communism?
What is the Normal City Council doing to free enterprise?
Another question: What action will the Normal City Council take concerning the intersection of Towanda Avenue and Shelbourne Drive? Will they put in one of those safety-hazard roundabouts like they plan in uptown, downtown, cross-town or whatever town Normal?
Normal City Council needs to check the dictionary for the meaning of "uptown" - toward the upper part of a city or town, usually the part away from the main business district, usually residential section of a city or town - and "downtown" - main business section of a city or town.
