Memorial Day is fast approaching, May 30. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the sacrifices our U.S. service men and women have endured in combat — some giving their all, including their lives, for our country.
It is time to again remind everyone to inspect their outdoor flags and ensure they are clean and bright. Flag etiquette reminds us that a torn or ragged flag is not to be flown. The U. S. flag is colored red, white, and blue — not pink, gray and dingy. Please, if your flag is faded, change it.
Please help us honor our living and dead service members this Memorial Day by changing any worn, tattered or faded flags.
