What should Unit 5 do with the money left over from the building project? It seems there would only be one logical answer: education.
I attend Unit 5 and the signs of a struggling school system are ever present. Being the concerned student I am, I would like to see more classes for the students who want to learn and the teachers who wish to teach.
Is that not how the education system began? Young people wishing to change the world -- we could use more of that today.
Education is a privilege for everyone but a responsibility of the leaders in charge to provide a higher and more engaged education for the students who want to learn and see school as an opportunity, and not an obligation.
This problem is present on a much larger scale in our country. President Obama says he is dealing with education, but he seems distracted with war and weapons of mass destruction. So I say, let's stop dabbling in other country's bloodshed and focus on our tomorrow, because as the great Nelson Mandela said; "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
