With the start of this new year, I would like to thank our generous community for the many ways in which you have reached out to your neighbors through your support of Home Sweet Home Ministries in 2014.
You provided nearly 30,000 nights of shelter to men, women, and children who had nowhere else to stay. You provided over 115,000 meals to hungry people. You helped us launch the Mobile Health Project and Bread for Life Food Co-op. You contributed more than 4,000 pairs of shoes to the OSF Shoe Drive and over 70,000 pounds of clothing and shoes to the 10 HSHRenew bins that are located around town. You helped us recycle over 2 million pounds of clothing, shoes, cardboard, electronics, metal, plastic and glass. A total of 2,763 of you contributed nearly 38,000 hours of volunteer service.
I am filled with gratitude for the many ways in which you have reached out to your neighbors in the past and I am full of anticipation for our work together during 2015. Thank you!
