Please allow me to publicly thank the person(s) who returned my voter’s registration card to my door.

I voted in the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at the McLean County Nursing Home. However, I must have dropped my card after showing it to the official. I didn’t notice it was gone as I was immediately off to work. Not until the next election would I have noticed my card as missing.

Upon hearing a knock on the door, I could not get there fast enough to say “thank you” in person. This person drove off with out a word of appreciation from me. I believe they occupied a white Ford. I only hope they read this in the paper and know their effort was very much appreciated. This type of behavior makes me want to “pay it forward.” God Bless America.
