Police, fire, rescue
A two-foot section on Watterson Towers was spray painted with graffiti Jan. 21 or 22, an Illinois State University police report said. There were four other similar reports on campus in a week, police said.
Burglary - A resident of the 1500 block of Augusta Drive scared off a burglar in the garage Sunday, a Normal police report said.
Burglary - An AM/FM radio and a plastic lawn chair were stolen Sunday from a residence in the 600 block of Pine Street, a Normal police report said.
Theft - Mail has been stolen from an apartment building in the 700 block of North Fell Avenue over the last several months from a resident, who said contact lenses, cash and a laptop computer cooling fan were stolen. Value was more than $300, a Normal police report said.
Burglary - A DVD player and a CD player were stolen in a burglary sometime from Jan. 22 to 27 from a residence in the 1700 block of B Street, Northmeadow Village, a Normal police report said.
Burglary - Bath 'n Bodyworks and The Limited were burglarized Sunday or Monday. The burglaries were both discovered Monday morning. Cash was stolen. Both happened when Eastland Mall in Bloomington was closed.

Theft - A purse with a $400 class ring and a $200 digital camera was stolen Jan. 25 from the Watterson Commons Dining Center, 301 S. Fell Ave., an Illinois State University police report said.
