BLOOMINGTON - A third man was arrested in connection with a string of recent robberies during a traffic stop Friday night, authorities said.

Jason Brown, 25, whose last known address was in the 800 block of East Grove Street in Bloomington, was arrested around 5 p.m. in Cicero, police said.

He is expected to be charged with two Jan. 23 robberies that occurred within about 90 minutes of each other at National City Bank, 1332 E. Empire St., and Midwest Title Loans, 604 IAA Drive, police said. At both locations, less than a mile apart, a man sprayed clerks with eye irritant, jumped over counters and took money from cash drawers.

Brown was transported to Bloomington by the U.S. Marshal's Great Lakes Regional Task Force. Charges are pending his arraignment.
