CHICAGO - Two men have been charged with beating and sexually assaulting an acquaintance while recording the incident with a cell phone camera, authorities said.
Krysztof Wilczewski, 19, and Konrad Bajdo, 20, appeared in court Saturday, where a judge set bond at nearly $500,000 apiece. The two face charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault with great bodily harm.
They are next scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
The incident allegedly took place on May 26 on the city's Northwest Side while the 22-year-old male victim was drinking beer with the defendants and a juvenile, prosecutors said.
The suspects began teasing the victim.
"The defendants starting telling (the victim) he was effeminate and small,'' said Assistant State's Attorney John Carroll. "The victim told them to stop and left the room to go to the bathroom. When he came out, the defendants began punching and kicking him, telling him he was getting what he deserved.''
Information about the juvenile suspect was not available Sunday.
Carroll said the suspects sexually assaulted the man with a bottle and a stick while videotaping the attack. They then allegedly threatened to beat the man if he did not perform a sex act and demanded he pay them $100.
