NAPERVILLE -- Police in Naperville say an overnight cleanup crew was cleaning out thousands of dollars of merchandise from the Kmart store where they worked.

Two Aurora residents were charged with felony theft Monday after investigators using store surveillance cameras reportedly saw one of them stuffing items from the store into bags.

Naperville Police Commander Mike Anders says a search of the worker's home turned up stolen Kmart merchandise, as did a later search of a home belonging to the other member of the cleanup crew.

Anders says the value of the stolen items may top $10,000.

The two charged with felony retail theft were identified as 34-year-old Carmen Valenzuela-Santillan and 47-year-old Miguel Quiros.

Both remained jailed Monday on $50,000 bond.
