Beulah Rose Funk, 91, of Morton, passed away Sunday (Dec. 2, 2018) at Morton Apostolic Restmor.
Beulah was born April 5, 1927, in Roanoke, to William E. and Kathryn Pfister Martin. She married Richard S. Rumbold on April 15, 1945, in Eureka. He preceded Beulah in death on Dec. 23, 1952. She then married Leo C. Funk on June 10, 1970, in Morton, who preceded her in death on March 9, 1999. Beulah was also preceded in death by one stepson, Merle Funk; two grandchildren, Becky and Ben Rumbold; five brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one son, Gary (Mary Kay) Rumbold, Morton; two daughters, Kayleen (Ronald) Heiniger, Normal, and Debra (Dennis) Wells, East Peoria; two stepsons, Ross (Linda) Funk, Morton, and Donald (Janet) Funk, Hudson; two stepdaughters, Donna (Bill) Cox, Freeport, Fla., and Roslyn (Steven) Hibbs, Gridley; and one stepdaughter-in-law, Jay Funk, Catonsville, Md. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren.
Beulah was a well-known caterer in Morton. She worked as a high school cafeteria manager and also worked in the parts department at Caterpillar Inc., in Morton.
Beulah was a member of Morton Apostolic Christian Church.
She was a beloved mother and faithful in praying for her children and grandchildren. Beulah was always willing to help others.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Morton. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at Morton Apostolic Christian Church, with a funeral following at 10 a.m. Ministers of the church will officiate. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Gridley Cemetery, Gridley.
