Darlene Adreon, 86, of Kearney, Mo., formerly of Slater, Mo., died Saturday (Feb. 9, 2019) at her home.
Her funeral will be at noon Thursday at Weiker Funeral Home, Slater, Mo. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Born July 12, 1932, in Hammond, Ind., she was the daughter of the late William Lonzo and Rose Mang Hardesty. On May 24, 1952, in San Pedro, Calif., she married John A. Adreon, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1994.
She is survived by three sons, Robin Dale Adreon, Wickliffe, Ky.; Timothy Alan Adreon, Kearney, Mo.; and Richard Eugene Adreon, Waterloo, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, William Lonzo Hardesty Jr., San Diego, Calif.; and two sisters, Emogene Cotton, Forsyth, Mo., and Sandra Davis, Omaha, Neb.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
She enjoyed quilting and playing bingo. She moved to Kearney from Slater in 2014.
