David Lee “Uncle Dave” McDonald, 72, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:52 p.m. Monday (Feb. 4, 2019) at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home, Bloomington, with Pastor Spencer McPherson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the memorial home.
Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or to the American Cancer Society.
Uncle Dave was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Bloomington, a son to Allen and Esther Wilson McDonald.
Surviving are his brothers, Robert A. McDonald, Heyworth, and Donald (Angie) McDonald, Bloomington; nieces and nephews, Joyce (Tennyson) Osborn, Bloomington; Brenda (Doug) Arvik, Heyworth; Chris (Kady) McDonald, South Bend, Ind.; Tim (Michelle) McDonald, Downs; Rob (Kathryn) McDonald, Bloomington; and Allen, Vicki, Mike and Marion; great-nieces and -nephews, Allen and Judy Land, Peoria; Christina and Matt Grove, Bloomington; James and Amy Land, Bloomington; and many great-great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary C. Arnold; and nephew, Bobby.
Loving known as Uncle Dave to many, his sense of humor will truly be missed.
