Duane F. DeMay, 65, of Normal, passed away 7:25 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2018) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral will be at noon Saturday at Eastview Christian Church, Normal, with Pastor Jason Sniff officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with arrangements. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to Community Cancer Center, Normal.
Duane was born April 17, 1953, in Geneseo, a son to Joseph L. and Madeline DeCraene DeMay. He married Julie Link on Feb. 12, 1999, in Normal.
Surviving are his loving wife of 19 years, Julie, Normal; daughter, Stephanie DeMay, Tennessee; daughter, Callie (Greg) Frazier, Downers Grove; stepson, Ben (Ashley) Dolk, Washington, D.C.; stepdaughter, Sarah Dolk, Bloomington; and daughter, Jenna DeMay, Normal; two grandsons; sister, Carol (Chuck) Pettis, East Peoria; brother, Dan (Sandy) DeMay, East Moline; and sister-in-law, Jan DeMay, Northglenn, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ken DeMay.
Duane was the owner of DeMay Construction since the early 1990s.
He was an active member of Eastview Christian Church for eight years and was involved in many of the ministry programs at the church. Duane said these were eight of the best years of his life.
Duane was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
