Faith L. Wooden, 86, of Bloomington, passed away 2:45 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 8, 2018) at her home.
Her memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Center, 407 E. Vernon Ave., Normal, IL 61761.
She was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of Leo and Anna Bidel Pedigo. She married John “Jack” Wooden Jr. on May 7, 1955, in Darien, Conn. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2014. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James Pedigo, and one sister, Kate Williams.
Surviving are her son, John (Susan) Wooden of Litchfield, and her daughter, Carrie Anna (Jim) Courtad, Normal; and two grandchildren, JC & Jack Courtad.
Faith previously worked at The Salvation Army, Columbia, S.C., and later for Crosley Broadcasting in Chicago, but she spent most of her time as a homemaker and raising her children.
She was an avid reader, loved watching movies and served on various committees while living at Westminster Village.
