Joel Frederick Steiner, 3 days old, of Tremont, entered the glories of Heaven at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2018).
He was born Saturday (Dec. 1, 2018) in Tremont, to Todd and Valerie Dietz Steiner. After three days at the Children's Hospital, Joel returned home with hospice care. He passed away peacefully in his mother's arms surrounded by his loving family. “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” Isaiah 40:11
Surviving are his parents of Tremont; eight brothers, Trent, Corbin, Philip, Thad, Joshua, Timothy, Micah and Ethan Steiner, all of Tremont; five sisters, Victoria (Paul) Baer, Faith, Lydia, Emma and Leah Steiner, all of Tremont; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mardell Dietz, Bradford; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Marcella Steiner, Tremont.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Christian Church of Tremont. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home, Tremont, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the church before the funeral service. Burial will be at Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Tremont.
The family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care and kindness of the NICU staff at the Children's Hospital.
