John E. Lubben, 54, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 6, 2018) at his home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park.
He was born Aug. 14, 1964, in Chicago, son of John H. and Martha L. Samuelian Lubben. He was preceded in death by his father in 1991.
Surviving are his mother, Martha Lubben, Oak Park; his daughters, Nicole Lubben, Dallas, Texas, and Jaymee Lubben, Bloomington. Also surviving are one brother, Mike Lubben, Villa Park; one sister, Lucy (Steve) Cielocha, Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews.
John had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for most of his career, first in Chicago and later at Local 197 in Bloomington. He last worked at Tech Electronics for the past seven years.
He loved fishing, poker and loud music. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as being the ultimate handyman, fun-loving, but most of all, family-oriented.
