BLOOMINGTON — John Patrick Littlefield, 74, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:52 p.m. Thursday (June 6, 2019) at Illiana Health Care Systems in Danville.
His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Historic St. Patrick's Church, Bloomington. Interment will immediately follow services at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Bloomington. He was born Oct. 5, 1944, in Bloomington, son of Louis Edwin and Patricia Ann Million Littlefield. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are one sister, Lou Ann Jacobs of Normal; his fiancee, Linda Campen of Bloomington; and his furry friend, his cat, Zeke.
John was a 1963 graduate of Normal Community High School and went to work for Modine Manufacturing in Bloomington until his enlistment in the military. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. After his service, he worked for General Grocer, then Heritage Health in Normal. In 2007, John retired from Luther Oaks, where he worked in maintenance and housekeeping. He enjoyed shooting muzzleloader rifles and also enjoyed “frontier” reenactment.
