Justin Paul White, 37, of Normal, passed away 2:20 a.m. Friday (Aug. 10, 2018) at Heartland Healthcare, Normal.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. His graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Grove Cemetery, Towanda, with Dr. Ralph Wingate Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Community Cancer Center; Heartland Healthcare, Normal; or Compassus Hospice.
Justin was born Oct. 16, 1980, in Normal, the son of John C. White and Connie Jo McClure White. He married Sandy Hawkins in 2001 and they had a daughter, Grace Elizabeth White, Cape Coral, Fla. Later, he had a daughter, Leah Francis White, Bloomington; her mother is Jennifer McCool. Leah has a half sister, Chloe Stuckey, also of Bloomington.
Also surviving are his father, John C. (Becky) White, Bloomington; mother, Connie Jo White, Lincoln; two brothers, John Clark “Jay” (Jenny) White III, Eureka, and Joel Michael (Nicole) White, Towanda.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Justin attended Calvary Christian Academy, Normal Community High School and later attended Heartland Community College, Normal. Justin worked in Florida for TruGreen and Comcast and later was a truck driver in Virginia. He returned to Bloomington and worked for Fish Trucking.
Justin enjoyed farming, online gaming and working out. He led a courageous battle with lung cancer while maintaining a positive attitude and infectious laugh.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Healthcare and Compassus Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Justin.
Justin loved spending time with his family especially his girls. He will be missed by all who knew him.
