Lucille M. Koehl (nee Hari), affectionally known to many as "Toots," a longtime resident of Wheatland/Plainfield Township, passed away peacefully Thursday (Oct. 11, 2018) just a few days after celebrating her 100th birthday.
Lucille was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Cissna Park, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Oberlander) Hari, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were one sister; five brothers; and her husband of 62 years, John Koehl Jr.
Lucille is survived by her son, John Koehl III; daughter, Judy (Bob) Goist; two grandchildren, Michael (Sharyl) Goist and Bonita Goist; and four great-grandchildren, Amelia, Amanda, Corey and Jake. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put others' needs first.
Visitation will be 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, Naperville. A memorial service will follow, officiated by ministers of the Apostolic Christian Church of Chicago, of which she was a member. Burial will follow at Wheatland Township Cemetery, 104th St., Naperville.
The family wishes to thank all of Lucille's caregivers, both at home and while at Rosewood Care Center. Your devotion to and care of our mom was much appreciated.
