Paul Ferguson, 91, of Colfax, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Monday (June 11, 2018) at his home.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax. Pastor Patti Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax, where military honors will be performed by the American Legion. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Davis-Kerber American Legion Post, Colfax.
Paul was born May 24, 1927, in Colfax, the son of Buford and Quintella Kaingery Ferguson. He married Charlotte Mire on Nov. 17, 1954, in Colfax. She passed away Feb. 21, 2012.
Surviving are his great-nephew, Cameron Cobb, Charlotte, N.C.; great-great-nephew, Austin Cobb; niece, Christine Cobb, New Castle, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Terry and Thom Cobb.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Davis-Kerber American Legion Post, Colfax; VFW, Fairbury; Am Vets, Fairbury; and 40 & 8.
He worked as a cheese maker for Zivney Cheese in Minonk for 40 years.
