Richard Austin “Rick” King, 69, of Maroa, passed away 10:49 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 8, 2018) at his home.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Larry Larson and the Rev. Joe Chetta officiating. Burial will be at Maroa Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Masonic services at 5 p.m.
The family requests casual attire.

Rick was born Dec. 22, 1948, in Decatur, the son of Wilbur W. and Margaret (Beasley) King.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret King, Maroa; daughter, Angela J. Koonce, Clinton; two grandchildren, Dalton Wright and Tanner Koonce; one great-granddaughter, Addalyn Wright, all of Clinton; brother, Michael R. (Charla) King, Knoxville, Tenn.; two nieces, Kim King and Kristen Pachis; and great-niece, Mackenna. Also surviving is his extended family: Rob Fogarty, April Underwood, Jennifer Polley, Kristi Littrell, five granddaughters and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Rick served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Maroa Masonic Lodge. He was an avid auto racing fan and participant. Rick was a wonderful father and grandfather.
