Robert Dale Livingston, 68, Chatsworth, died 9:54 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 8, 2018) at his home.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, followed by a public gathering at the home of his daughter, Abby, in rural Strawn. All are welcome. Inurnment will be in Chatsworth Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorials be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Bob was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Fairbury, the son of Rufus and Nellie May Weaver Curtis. At the age of 6, he was adopted by William Stoddard Livingston. They preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Joe (Abby Thilmont) Livingston, Forrest; daughter, Abby (Dan) Eisenmann, Strawn; sister, Kathryn Ann (Bill) Bliss, Wentzville, Mo.; two brothers, Thomas William Livingston, Jonesboro, Ark., and Leland Mark (Nancee) Livingston, Chatsworth; and five grandchildren who he loved dearly, Lyndsay, Gaige, Grace, Brayden and Lily.
He was also preceded in death by a niece, Megan Livingston-Propes.
Bob was a graduate of Chatsworth High School and a lifetime farmer. He was an avid Harley rider and member of Illinois State Rifle Association and National Rifle Association.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Big Jim and Red for their friendship and support as well as to the community of Chatsworth for all they have done. Your love and support will not be forgotten.
