BLOOMINGTON — Ronald H. “Ron” Fillenworth, 81, of Chenoa, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 1:54 a.m. Saturday (March 2, 2019) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the memorial home.
Entombment will be at Evergreen Mausoleum, Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Ron was born June 6, 1937, in Mansfield, a son to Harold H. and Elizabeth Howard Fillenworth. He was married to Bonnie Wilborn for several years.
He is survived by his son, Marty E. (Debra A. Brown) Fillenworth, Bloomington.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his stepmother, Mildred Amdor Fillenworth.
He graduated from Gibson City High School in 1955, and later worked for Illinois State University, where he was employed for 30 years before retiring.
Ron loved classic country music, NASCAR, cars, the Chicago Cubs and listening to the radio. He loved spending time with his son Marty and Debbie. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
