Russell F. Camp, 84, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:07 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 9, 2019) at his home.
A private family service will be held. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
Russell was born Jan. 13, 1935, in Bloomington, the son of Sherwood Franklin and Bessie Wright Camp. He married Doris J. Monkman on Dec. 6, 1958, in Bloomington. She survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Becky Camp, Normal; a son, Rick (David Camp-Gerhardt) Gerhardt-Camp, Hobart, Ind.; two granddaughters, Rylee and Mariah Camp; a sister, Barb Hinthorn, Bloomington; and two brothers, Georgie Tuttle, Roanoke, and Gussie (Barb) Tuttle, Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Camp; two sisters, June King and Norma Tudor; four brothers, Kenny and Leonard Camp, Jimmy Van Horn and Bobby Dwyer.
Russell worked out of Laborer's Local 362 in Bloomington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and teasing his nieces and nephews.
Russell loved his family, especially his granddaughters.
