BLOOMINGTON — Steven J. Bozarth, 74, of Bloomington, passed away Monday (Oct. 7, 2019) at his home according to his wishes.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Jim Warren will officiate. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Steve was born Sept. 2, 1945, in Bloomington, son of Clarke and Jeanne Bozarth. He married Patricia Pingelton on March 23, 1968. She survives.
He is survived by their children, David C. Bozarth, Bethalto, and Debra J. Arnold (Doug), Covington, Ga.; brothers, Homer Bozarth (Jeannie), Bloomington, and Dan Bozarth (Gail), El Paso; sister-in-law, Diane Bozarth, Bloomington; four grandchildren that were the joy of his life, Brigham and Larkin Anne Arnold and Ellie and Annie Bozarth.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Bozarth.
Steve was a carpenter by trade. He started out as a cabinetmaker at Miller's Cabinet Shop and retired from ISU Physical Plant. Through the years, he always farmed the Bozarth family farm with his brother Dan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Bloomington.
