FLANAGAN — Tracy Marie Chmiel, 52, of Flanagan, passed away at 10:08 a.m. Monday (Aug. 12, 2019) at the emergency room of OSF HealthCare Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Flanagan. There will be a time of sharing memories at 3 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Tracy was born Nov. 20, 1966, in Geneva, to Donald and Anita Chmiel. She married Richard Kavanaugh on March 2, 2015, in Geneva. He survives in Flanagan.
Also surviving are her son, Matt Serrato, West Chicago; her stepdaughters, Riley and Kaley Kavanaugh, both of Batavia; her siblings, Kim Czajka, Murphysboro; Kelly Chmiel and Gwen Barrett, both of California; Vince (Ann) Chmiel, Flanagan; and Don (Krista) Chmiel, Flanagan.
Her parents and her mother-in-law, Betty Kavanaugh, preceded her in death.
Tracy graduated from West Chicago High School, class of 1985. She had been employed as a vision center manager at Walmart for many years.
She loved her dogs, Nobel and Hunter, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
