A common idea for corporations that make chemicals, cosmetic products, etc., is to test the products. Unfortunately the way they are tested is with animals; animal testing is a worldwide problem. Animals like mice, rabbits, dogs, and more are the victim in these tests and it is harming them in cruel ways.
Cosmetic companies will put a new cosmetic on the animal and test how it affects the skin; even worse, some chemical companies feed the animal a chemical to see if it kills them, and/or how the chemical affects the animal.
I think that companies should find other ways to test their products instead of using animals, for several reasons. First, animal testing is inaccurate because an animal body is a lot different than the human body, which can make results inaccurate. Second, some animals like rats are abused by being bred in a factory then killed immediately for purposes like dissection. Using today’s technology, animal testing can be eliminated. For example, we can use our technology today to replicate a human cell and some human organs. Finally, animal testing is abusive and unnecessary as we can find less abusive ways using today’s technology.
