I am so upset by how these children at the border have been treated. It doesn’t matter, right now, where our government is going to send them. But for right now, while they are in custody, they should have better living arrangements, with mattresses, blankets and better sanitation provisions.
We treat our prisoners in jail better than these small children who have done nothing to hurt us. Why our government is allowing this is beyond my comprehension. Other countries must think we are terrible.
I know there are a lot of other people who feel as I do. Hopefully something is done soon to provide better conditions for these defenseless kids until the government decides where to send them. This is not what America is all about. These children shouldn’t be sleeping on a cement floor.
