In a recent speech, President Trump reiterated what every true conservative wants to hear: The U.S. will never become a socialist country. Underlying that sentiment is the dedication to the founding ideals. The most important ideal is freedom from government involvement in our personal accumulation of wealth.
True conservatives think that the government should not be able to take any of our money. The bottom line is that if some people want to share their wealth to build a public swimming pool, it should be voluntary. That goes for every single public program. Our original government under the Articles of Confederation had it right: no taxes. All contributions to the community should be voluntary.
I challenge the true conservatives to support ending all aspects of socialism in the U.S. This includes guaranteed public education including universities, free books and lunch programs; fire departments; police departments; public libraries; roads, highways, bridges; airports, seaports; Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, welfare; food stamps; aid to children; public hospitals, Veterans Administration; public parks, swimming pools and programs; and minimum wage laws.
That, of course, is only part of the list.
When we stop redistributing wealth for these programs, people will get jobs and pay for them as they choose. True liberty and patriotism demand that the government should guarantee personal wealth remain in the hands of those who earned it.
Let’s make America great again by supporting the end to all and future socialism. True conservatives need to stand up and be counted.
