A special word of thanks to Ben and Benji Leman of Leman’s Chevy City for hosting the North Central Corvette Caravan for lunch on Aug. 27 at their dealership.
Often referred to as the world’s largest moving automotive event, the National Corvette Caravan is a celebration of America’s sports car, culminating in Bowling Green, Ky., for the 25th anniversary celebration of the National Corvette Museum.
Corvettes from around the country form organized caravans as they travel to the museum.
Leman’s Chevy City was host to 760 Corvettes and 1,352 people from the Midwest, west and far west with Corvettes as far away as Alaska arriving in Bloomington. This was 20% of all the Corvettes going to the museum for the anniversary celebration.

The cooperation with the city of Bloomington staff and Catherine Dunlap, as well as the Bloomington Police Department, to accommodate this large group of Corvette owners was outstanding and we all appreciated it. It was truly a success.
Again, a special thanks to the Leman family and Leman’s Chevy City.
