BLOOMINGTON – The McLean County Museum of History will be closed Saturday because of a planned power outage, but it will be open on Monday.
Jeffery Woodard, director of marketing and community relations, said the museum will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and there will be free admission to exhibit galleries. Admission is free year-round for students.
Woodard said the museum learned of Saturday's outage from Ameren Illinois.
Ameren Illinois spokeswoman Marcelyn Love said she could not comment on the extent of the outage because Ameren's policy does not allow the company to comment on individual customer accounts without permission.
She said, “Everyone who would be affected has been notified.”
