A variety of building materials and furniture was grist for the trash man during Bloomington's fall bulk waste pickup that began Monday. After the fall collection is completed in about 15 working days, public works crews making subsequent pickups will charge $25 per front-end loader bucket (about 2.5 cubic yards) for household bulk waste and $100 per bucket for sod, dirt, concrete, rock and shingles. Residents can go to the city's website, www.cityblm.org, to track where crews have picked up bulk waste during the fall collection.
