About MARINE BANK

What began as a small bank on the east side of Springfield has grown to a branch network that spans all of central Illinois and a family more than 200 members strong. And while much has changed over the years, the principles and values upon which Marine Bank was founded haven’t changed a bit. After all, old-fashioned service never goes out of style.

Marine Bank was founded in 1993 with a single branch, 12 employees, and an approach for providing “banking the way it should be.” Our timing was right. Springfield residents were tired of their old downtown bank changing its name, trimming staff and putting policies before people. They found relief at Marine Bank.

We know that it takes a community bank to build a community. That’s why involvement is at the heart of everything we do – both in our branches and in our neighborhoods. You’ll find our team members involved in civic activities and clubs; in schools and in sports; and in many, many worthy causes. When it comes time to help our neighbors with their banking needs, our decisions are made by local people just like you.

Our professional team places the highest priority on serving and protecting our customers. That’s what our customers value about Marine Bank, and that’s why we’ve been able to expand to 12 branches, $620 million in assets and 220 employees. With facilities spanning central Illinois from Macomb to Champaign and Bloomington to Springfield, we provide the strength and reliability that individuals and businesses find essential in a banking partner. Thank you for making us the bank you trust!
