Photos by Thom Rakestraw

Almost 2,500 pork chops were grilled on the streets of downtown Bloomington, much to the delight of ticket holders who look forward to this annual Rotary event. John Tarvin took home the PIG Trophy again this year for selling the most pork chop tickets.

John sold 214 tickets to raise $1712 for college scholarships, dictionaries for Bloomington elementary school children and other local Rotary service projects .

In all, organizers were hoping to net $10,000.
