ROCK ISLAND - Illinois Wesleyan senior Keelan Amelianovich and Eureka native Chris Martin are among 10 national finalists for the Jostens Trophy.
The award is presented to the Division III basketball player who shows excellence in the classroom, on the playing floor and in the community. The winner is chosen by a national selection committee.
The men's and women's Jostens trophies will be presented March 16 in Salem, Va.
The 6-foot-6 Amelianovich is averaging 18.7 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Titans. The academic All-America candidate has a 3.82 grade point average in accounting.
Martin is a senior at Elmhurst, where he is averaging 21.3 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Other finalists are Chris Braier of Lawrence, Bethany's Matt Drahos, Montclair State's Gian Paul Gonzalez, Michael Hoyt of Mount St. Mary, Mike McGarvey of Ursinus, Carson Oren of Case Western Reserve, Tyler Rhoten of Trinity (Conn.) and Chapman's Zach Wheatley.
IWU's Korey Coon won the Jostens Trophy in 2000.
