URBANA - Marisa Milligan of Normal, Katherine Hepler of Lincoln and Stacey Miller of Bloomington advanced to the championship flight Tuesday in the second day of qualifying for the 106th Women's Western Golf Association National Amateur Championship at Stone Creek Golf Club.
Milligan shot 75 for a 151 total, while Hepler (82) and Miller (81) each had a 158 total.
In today's matches, Milligan will face Madelle Swaney of Marietta, Ohio (153), while Hepler meets Julia Potter of Granger, Ind. (148). Miller squares off against Ana Imelda Tanpinco of the Philippines (147).
Two area golfers are in the third flight. Chelsea Harris of Normal (168) meets Meagan Hayes of Milwaukee (176), while Kim Bailey of Gibson City (168) faces Marguerite Johnson of Toledo, Ohio (172).
